Our Story

Stacklet founders Travis and Kapil met at Capital One, where Kapil created CNCF’s Cloud Custodian open-source project to allow developers to use cloud services with the proper policy and guardrails, ensuring best practices for cost optimization, security, and compliance. The same core and creative team behind Cloud Custodian wanted to expand on the vision of their open-source project and, as a result, co-founded Stacklet. Stacklet launched industry-first governance as code platform powered by Cloud Custodian, designed to help organizations eliminate cloud waste, inefficiencies, and risks – ensuring these issues don’t return. With a focus on reducing cloud bills by up to 50% while mitigating the risk of breaches, Stacklet now supports some of the world’s largest cloud consumers in managing and optimizing their cloud environments at scale.
